Matt & Joe have reserved a group room block for you at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya, a beautiful adults only all-Inclusive resort. We have rooms reserved from November 3rd through checkout on November 10th. You are welcome to stay longer, based on availability. Resort payment schedule: Upon Booking: Deposit due to confirm your room, $250 per person, plus full cost of travel insurance (if applicable). June 5, 2024: 50% of balance due August 7, 2024: Full balance due Resort Cancellation Penalties: * Deposit of $250 per person is non-refundable * Cancellations after August 7, 2024 = 1 night penalty in addition to the non-refundable deposit. * Cancellations, shortening the length of stay, or reductions to number of occupants in the room after September 9, 2024 are non-refundable. Your private sanctuary is appointed with a fresh interpretation of Mexican art including Huipil and Reboz from Oaxaca and La Huasteca style embroidery with Mayan gold accents.

This is a private, nonstop group transfer, meaning only guests of your particular group who are arriving or departing on the same flight will be placed in the vehicle together.

Reconfirm return transfer departure time 24 hours in advance.
- You will fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). Flights are not included.
- Please do not book your flights until your room is secured, and you receive a confirmation from Explore Your World Vacations.
- Flights should be booked using your name exactly as it appears on your passport.
- Once your flights are booked, please send that information to Explore Your World Vacations so that Airport Transfers can be arranged.
Airport Transfers
Round Trip Private Group Airport Concierge Transfer to/from Akumal = $151.25 per person
This is a private, nonstop group transfer, meaning only guests of your particular group who are arriving or departing on the same flight will be placed in the vehicle together.
Inclusions:
- Private, nonstop service aboard a Mercedes Benz four door Sedan or Mercedes Benz Deluxe Van.
- The resort is about 65 minutes from the Cancun airport.
- Baggage allowed: 1 regular size plus one carry on per person.
- Bilingual Professional chauffeurs will escort clients upon arrival to the front desk and ensure a seamless check in.
- Cold bottle of water available at greeting and in the vehicle.
- Personalized, bi-lingual greeting, assistance and baggage handling at airport for both, arrival and departure.

Do We need passports?
Please keep in mind that everyone, including children and infants, must have a valid passport to travel to Mexico.
A passport card is not valid for international air travel. A passport book is mandatory.
It is recommended to renew passports with less than 6 months of validity from your return date. While Mexico is not strict on the 6 month requirement, it is the ticket agent at the airport that will ultimately decide if you will be allowed to board the flight. Airline employees are often trained to follow the 6 month requirement regardless of country requirements. Are you willing to risk it? Our advice, play it safe.
Passport renewal times are approximately 12 weeks. Minor children need to apply in person with both parents present.

Are airport transfers included?
Yes, round-trip airport transfers will be added to your package. We must have your flight information within 3 weeks of your departure date. If we do not receive your flight details within 3 weeks of your trip, this will result in your cancellation of your ground transportation. You will not be refunded any costs for transportation. It will be up to you to find transportation to and from the resort if you do not provide the flight details needed for us to arrange transportation.
Make sure you reconfirm your return transfer with the transportation company 48 hours prior to departure. If you are not waiting in the lobby at your assigned pick-up time you will be considered a no-show and will need to have the resort call a taxi at your own expense. Don't miss your transfer!

Please consider tipping your transfer drivers to and from the airport. They do not work for the all-inclusive resorts and reply on gratuities. It is customary to tip the spa staff 10% - 18% of the cost of your service.
It is appropriate and much appreciated to tip the resort bellman, housekeepers, restaurant waitstaff, pool servers, and bartenders. While a few dollars may not mean much to you, it greatly improves the quality of life for the individuals who work at the resorts, often 6 or 7 days a week.

Can I have a guest stay with me for just part of my stay?
The occupancy of each room should remain the same through the entirety of the reservation. We can potentially book multiple reservations, if needed.
WHAT HAPPENS IF i DON'T BOOK WITH EXPLORE YOUR WORLD VACATIONS?
The wedding couple have paid a deposit to pre-reserve rooms for your group. They kindly ask that you book your hotel within our designated group contract through Explore Your World Vacations. Bookings made through Explore Your World Vacations receive the service and support of their chosen destination wedding specialist in addition to the group benefits.
Can I make payments?
Yes! We can sent up a monthly payment schedule. All payments need to be made before the final payment deadline.
